Job Description — Manual Tester

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual Tester with 1–2 years of hands-on experience to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through systematic manual testing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and functional specifications to design test scenarios and test cases
- Execute manual test cases across web, mobile, or desktop applications and document results accurately
- Identify, log, and track bugs/defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps)
- Perform various types of testing — functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and UAT
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to understand requirements and clarify doubts
- Verify bug fixes and conduct retesting before closure
- Prepare and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test summary reports
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings (if working in Agile environment)
- Ensure timely delivery of testing tasks within project deadlines
- Provide clear and concise bug reports with steps to reproduce, screenshots, and severity/priority classification
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 1–3 years of proven experience in manual testing of web and/or mobile applications
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC concepts
- Hands-on experience with test case design techniques (boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, etc.)
- Working knowledge of bug tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail, etc.)
- Hands-on experience in API testing (Postman) .
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Good understanding of database concepts and ability to write basic SQL queries for data validation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Good to Have
- Exposure to basic automation tools (Selenium) — not mandatory
- Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing
- ISTQB certification (preferred, not mandatory)
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
