Job Summary
A reputed visual arts institution is seeking an academically focused Sculpture Instructor to lead theoretical and classroom-based learning in sculpture studies. This role is dedicated to delivering lecture-oriented training covering sculpture history, structural principles, material science, and conceptual development.
The ideal candidate should have strong academic knowledge, excellent presentation skills, and the ability to guide students through the conceptual and technical evolution of sculpture using structured classroom methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive theory classes on Sculpture and Form Analysis.
- Teach students about the properties, history, and applications of sculptural materials including clay, wood, stone, metal, and fiber.
- Guide students through conceptual sculpture processes, from sketching and design logic to casting and finishing concepts.
- Support students in portfolio development through research-oriented academic guidance.
- Conduct assessments, written assignments, evaluations, and classroom discussions.
- Incorporate modern sculptural trends and industry-standard practices into academic modules.
- Encourage critical thinking and analytical understanding of sculptural works.
Core Competencies & Required KnowledgeAnatomical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of human and animal anatomy for figurative sculpture studies.
Material Science
- Knowledge of sculptural media including Terracotta, Plaster of Paris (POP), clay, metal, wood, and mixed materials.
Structural Integrity
- Understanding of armature building, balance, scale, and structural support in 3D forms.
Visual Identity & Spatial Design
- Awareness of how sculpture integrates with branding, public installations, environmental art, and spatial design.
Technical & Creative Detail
- High level of creative thinking with strong attention to academic and technical detail.
Pedagogical & Soft Skills
- Ability to create engaging visual presentations and lecture materials.
- Strong classroom communication and interactive lecturing skills.
- Capability to simplify complex sculptural concepts for students.
- Ability to encourage discussion, critique sessions, and conceptual analysis.
Eligibility CriteriaEducation
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Fine Arts (BFA/MFA/BVA/MVA) with specialization in Sculpture.
Experience
- 1–2 years of teaching or industry experience preferred.

- Freshers with strong subject knowledge, academic excellence, and presentation abilities are encouraged to apply.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
