Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated TGT Mathematics Teacher to join our CBSE school. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management skills, and the ability to create an engaging learning environment that helps students develop conceptual understanding and problem-solving abilities in Mathematics.
The candidate will be responsible for teaching Mathematics for Classes VI–X as per the CBSE curriculum, preparing lesson plans, conducting assessments, and supporting students in achieving academic excellence. CBSE teachers are expected to follow competency-based learning practices, maintain academic records, and continuously improve teaching methodologies.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic & Teaching Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons for Classes VI–X following the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare detailed lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, and assignments.
- Explain mathematical concepts using practical examples, activities, and innovative teaching methodologies.
- Develop students' logical thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Identify individual learning gaps and provide additional support to slow learners.
- Encourage students to participate in Mathematics-related activities, competitions, and projects.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct regular tests, assignments, and examinations to assess student progress.
- Prepare question papers, evaluate answer sheets, and maintain academic records.
- Track student performance and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain student portfolios and assessment documentation as required.
Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Build strong teacher-student relationships to encourage learning and confidence.
- Ensure active participation of students during classroom activities.
Curriculum Planning & Development
- Follow CBSE guidelines and academic plans.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers for lesson planning and academic improvement.
- Integrate technology-based teaching tools and digital resources wherever applicable.
- Participate in curriculum enrichment activities and school academic programs.
School Responsibilities
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and provide academic updates.
- Support school events, examinations, and co-curricular activities.
- Maintain required academic documentation and teacher records.
- Attend training programs and professional development sessions.
- Perform additional responsibilities assigned by the School Management.
Required Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics (B.Sc / B.A Mathematics) from a recognized university.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with Mathematics as a teaching subject.
- CTET / TET qualification preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in CBSE schools preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CBSE Mathematics syllabus and examination pattern.
- CBSE teacher qualifications are governed by the Board’s affiliation and teacher qualification guidelines.
