WGH World Backwaters,Alappuzha seeking a highly skilled and creative Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and oversee all aspects of our kitchen operations. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for menu planning, recipe development, food preparation, and ensuring the highest quality of food is consistently delivered to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Menu Planning: Develop innovative and seasonal menus that reflect the culinary preferences of our clientele while considering dietary restrictions and budgetary constraints.
- Recipe Development: Create and standardize recipes to maintain consistency in flavor, presentation, and portion sizes.
- Kitchen Management: Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Ingredient Sourcing: Source and select high-quality ingredients from local vendors and suppliers to maintain freshness and enhance the overall dining experience.
- Cost Control: Monitor food costs, inventory levels, and kitchen expenses to maximize profitability while minimizing waste.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the restaurant management team to coordinate special events, promotions, and menu changes.
- Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of culinary trends and techniques, and implement innovative ideas to enhance the menu and overall dining experience.
- Customer Satisfaction: Interact with guests to solicit feedback, address concerns, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role within a Resort or hotel.
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and international cuisines.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Creative flair and a passion for food innovation.
- Certification from a culinary institution or equivalent work experience.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
