Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Development
Conceptualize, design, and detail precision fixtures, jigs, and gauges for heat exchanger assembly and testing
Develop tooling concepts for new product introduction
Support manufacturing with robust fixture designs
Drive design standardization across tooling
2. Technical Analysis & Validation
Create technical layouts and assembly drawings using CAD software
Prepare detailed part drawings and specifications
Develop and validate inspection gauges
Ensure dimensional and geometric tolerances are maintained
3. Production Support & Optimization
Collaborate with R&D and design teams for manufacturability (DFX)
Support smooth new product launches
Improve tooling performance and reliability
Optimize production processes
4. Tooling Development & Vendor Management
Lead design and development of tools, jigs, and fixtures
Coordinate with tooling vendors from concept to approval
Evaluate vendor capabilities and technical proposals
Monitor tooling manufacturing and delivery timelines
5. Equipment Installation & Validation
Oversee installation of new equipment
Validate technical performance and safety compliance
Support commissioning of new production lines
Ensure readiness for production ramp-up
