Qualification

- PDIS/ADIS Certification from SCVT is mandatory

Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and experienced HSE Officer to join our team at Vishaka Metal, Mundra, Gujarat. The candidate will be responsible for implementing Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards, ensuring statutory compliance, promoting a safe working environment, and minimizing workplace risks through proactive safety management.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise day-to-day site safety activities.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions or practices.
- Ensure proper use and compliance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all employees and contractors.
- Conduct daily Toolbox Talks (TBT) and safety awareness sessions.
- Prepare and maintain safety records, reports, permits, and documentation.
- Report, investigate, and document accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and applicable statutory regulations.
- Participate in safety audits, inspections, and emergency preparedness activities.
- Monitor high-risk activities such as work at height, hot work, confined space entry, lifting operations, and electrical work.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and contractors to ensure safe execution of work.
- Promote a positive safety culture by encouraging hazard reporting and safe work practices.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Industrial Safety Standards and HSE Regulations.
- Strong understanding of Permit to Work (PTW) system.
- Knowledge of Risk Assessment (JSA/JHA), HIRA, and emergency response procedures.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to handle safety documentation and compliance records.
- Leadership, observation, and problem-solving abilities.
