Role description
Job Title: Automation Test Engineer (Java + Selenium)
6+ Years
We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java and Selenium. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience across the full testing lifecycle, including manual and UI testing, along with strong skills in API testing, SQL, and automation framework development.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Java and Selenium
- Execute manual and automated test cases across various testing phases
- Perform UI testing to ensure application functionality and usability
- Test and validate REST APIs and backend services
- Write efficient and reusable Java-based automation code
- Create, manage, and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts
- Perform data validation using SQL queries
- Work in UNIX environments for testing and debugging
- Track and manage defects using JIRA and maintain documentation in Confluence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality deliverables
- Build and enhance test automation frameworks
- Strong experience in Selenium WebDriver and Java
- Solid understanding of automation testing concepts
- Experience in manual testing and UI testing
- Hands-on experience in REST API testing (e.g., Postman, RestAssured)
- Good knowledge of SQL for complex queries and data validation
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux commands
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Experience in building or maintaining automation frameworks
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools is a plus
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
