Job Summary:
The Collection Staff is responsible for collecting patient samples such as blood, urine, stool, and other clinical specimens by following standard medical and safety procedures. The role includes proper labeling, handling, storage, and transportation of samples while ensuring patient comfort and maintaining hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect blood samples through venipuncture and other approved methods.
- Receive and handle urine, stool, sputum, and other diagnostic samples.
- Ensure correct patient identification before sample collection.
- Label and document all collected samples accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards in the collection area.
- Follow all laboratory safety protocols and biomedical waste disposal procedures.
- Coordinate with laboratory staff for timely sample processing.
- Ensure proper storage and transportation of samples to the laboratory.
- Maintain records and update sample collection details in the system/register.
- Provide professional and courteous support to patients.
Required Skills:
- Good knowledge of sample collection procedures.
- Basic understanding of laboratory safety and infection control.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Qualification:
- DMLT / MLT or relevant healthcare qualification preferred.
- Fresher or experienced candidates can apply.
Experience:
- 0–2 years of experience in diagnostic centers, hospitals, or laboratories preferred.
Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
