Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented DTP Operator with 2-3 years of experience in the publishing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the layout, formatting, and typesetting of academic and professional books, ensuring they meet our high-quality publication standards.
Key Responsibilities
Book Typesetting: Designing and formatting complete book layouts from manuscripts using Adobe InDesign and PageMaker.
Scientific Content: Handling complex mathematical equations and scientific notations using MathType.
Graphic Integration: Placing and adjusting images, charts, and tables within the text to ensure a clean and professional look.
Language Proficiency: Accurate typing and formatting in both English and Hindi.
Proofreading Support: Correcting text based on editorial feedback and ensuring consistency in fonts, margins, and styles.
Pre-Press Readiness: Preparing final "Print-Ready" PDF files with correct bleed, crop marks, and color settings for the printing press.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Software Mastery: Expert knowledge of Adobe InDesign, CorelDRAW, Photoshop, and MS Word.
MathType: Experience in academic book formatting is a major plus.
Typing Speed: High speed and accuracy in English and Hindi typing.
Industry Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience specifically within a Publishing House.
Attention to Detail: Ability to spot formatting inconsistencies and layout errors easily.
