Role Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, managing statutory compliance, and supporting financial planning and audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and review general ledger accounts and financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- Ensure timely processing of journal entries and closing activities.
- Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and forecasting.
- Prepare and file statutory returns, tax reports, and compliance documents.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
- Verify invoices, payments, and expense reports for accuracy.
- Analyze financial data and provide management reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and guide junior accounting staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as Institute of Chartered Accountants of India CA, CMA, or ACCA are preferred.
- Typically 5–10 years of accounting and finance experience.
Pay: ₹30,608.06 - ₹41,388.52 per month
