Job Description
A reputed Cardiac Care Hospital in Vadodara is looking for an experienced and responsible OPD Head to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Out-Patient Department (OPD).
The ideal candidate should have strong hospital administration and coordination skills, excellent communication abilities, and proven experience managing OPD operations in a hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the smooth day-to-day functioning of the OPD department.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, front office, billing and other hospital departments.
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient registration, consultation and follow-up processes.
- Coordinate doctor schedules and OPD activities.
- Address patient and attendant queries, concerns and service-related issues.
- Ensure patients receive timely and professional assistance throughout their OPD visit.
- Monitor waiting times and identify opportunities to improve patient flow.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of OPD documentation and records.
- Coordinate with the front office and billing teams to ensure smooth patient services.
- Handle operational issues and escalate matters to management when required.
- Ensure hospital policies, procedures and service standards are followed.
- Support management in improving patient experience and overall OPD efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain relevant OPD reports and records.
Eligibility & Skills
- Any Graduate from a recognised institution.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an OPD Head in a hospital is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a cardiac care or multi-speciality hospital will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- English proficiency is mandatory.
- Strong coordination and team-management skills.
- Good understanding of hospital OPD processes and patient flow.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities.
- Professional and patient-focused approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Salary
₹30,000 CTC per month
Salary will be based on the candidate's relevant experience, skills and suitability for the role.
