Lift TechnicianJob Summary
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Lift Technician to install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair passenger and commercial lifts/elevators. The ideal candidate should have hands-on technical experience, good knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, and a strong commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair lifts/elevators and related equipment.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control-system faults.
- Attend breakdown calls and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Check and adjust lift components including motors, brakes, doors, sensors, limit switches, cables, and control panels.
- Carry out testing and commissioning of lifts after installation or repair.
- Ensure all work is completed according to safety standards and company procedures.
- Maintain service records, inspection reports, and breakdown reports.
- Coordinate with supervisors, customers, and other technicians when required.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are properly maintained.
- Follow all required safety procedures while working at height, in lift shafts, and around electrical equipment.
Requirements
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or a related technical field preferred.
- Previous experience as a Lift/Elevator Technician is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and troubleshoot faults.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong focus on safety and quality of work.
Experience
0–5 years of relevant experience. Freshers with relevant ITI/Diploma qualifications may also be considered.
