Implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and safe work practices across the plant. Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements, including Factories Act, Pollution Control Board regulations, Hazardous Waste Management Rules, MSIHC Rules, PESO requirements, and other environmental and safety regulations. Conduct daily plant safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions. Ensure effective implementation of Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, hot work, work at height, and electrical safety procedures. Monitor the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals, solvents, and waste. Coordinate operation and compliance activities related to Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), Air Pollution Control Systems (APCS), and hazardous waste management. Conduct incident, accident, near-miss, and unsafe condition investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Organize safety induction programs, toolbox talks, emergency response training, and mock drills. Ensure statutory inspections, testing, and certification of fire protection systems, pressure vessels, lifting tools, and safety equipment. Monitor usage and compliance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across all departments. Maintain statutory records, licenses, permits, safety reports, and EHS documentation. Coordinate with Production, Engineering, QA, QC, Warehouse, and contractors to ensure safe execution of work. Support internal, customer, and regulatory EHS audits and ensure timely closure of observations. Promote 5S, behavioral safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
