About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Website Developer who can independently build, customise, maintain and optimise websites across Shopify, WordPress and custom development.
You should be someone who understands both design and development, can take a website from concept to launch, and is comfortable working on custom requirements rather than relying only on templates and plugins.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain websites using WordPress and Shopify
- Build custom websites and web solutions as per project requirements
- Customise Shopify themes, sections and functionalities
- Develop and customise WordPress themes and plugins
- Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP
- Integrate APIs, third-party tools, payment gateways, forms and other platforms
- Ensure websites are responsive, fast, secure and SEO-friendly
- Troubleshoot bugs, errors and performance issues
- Manage website migrations, hosting, domains, backups and deployments
- Work closely with the design and marketing teams to implement website layouts and functionality
- Maintain and update existing client websites
- Ensure cross-browser and mobile compatibility
Must-Have Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on web development experience
- Strong experience with Shopify
- Strong experience with WordPress
- Experience in custom website development
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP
- Experience with Shopify Liquid
- Experience with WordPress themes, plugins and customisation
- Understanding of SEO, website speed and performance optimisation
- Experience with APIs and third-party integrations
- Good understanding of hosting, domains, DNS and SSL
- Ability to independently handle projects from development to deployment
