Job Summary
Life Care Multispeciality Hospital is seeking a highly organized and experienced Operation Theatre (OT) Manager to oversee the daily functioning of the Operation Theatre complex. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth OT operations, maintaining patient safety, managing OT staff, and ensuring compliance with infection control and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Operation Theatre.
- Ensure OT readiness by maintaining adequate surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables.
- Coordinate OT schedules with surgeons, anesthetists, nursing staff, and other departments.
- Supervise OT technicians, OT nurses, housekeeping, and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with sterilization, infection control, and biomedical waste management protocols.
- Monitor the maintenance and proper functioning of OT equipment and coordinate timely servicing.
- Maintain OT inventory and ensure uninterrupted availability of surgical supplies.
- Implement and monitor hospital SOPs, NABH guidelines, and patient safety standards.
- Conduct staff training on OT protocols, emergency preparedness, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Handle emergency OT requirements efficiently and ensure smooth coordination during critical procedures.
- Prepare departmental reports, maintain OT records, and submit operational data to hospital management.
- Ensure a safe, efficient, and patient-focused surgical environment.
Eligibility Criteria
- B.Sc. Nursing / Diploma or Degree in Operation Theatre Technology / Bachelor's or Master's in Hospital Administration (or an equivalent healthcare qualification).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities in an Operation Theatre.
- Strong knowledge of OT procedures, sterilization techniques, infection control, and quality standards.
- Experience with Hospital Management Software (HMS) and Microsoft Office is preferred.
