Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Assembly Operator to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for assembling machine components, sub-assemblies, and Special Purpose Machines (SPM) according to engineering drawings and assembly instructions. Freshers with a strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical parts, sub-assemblies, and machine components as per drawings.
- Assist in the assembly of Special Purpose Machines (SPM), Fixtures, and Jigs.
- Read and understand assembly drawings and work instructions.
- Perform fitting, drilling, tapping, alignment, and basic fabrication activities.
- Install bearings, motors, pneumatic components, sensors, and other machine elements.
- Support machine trials, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure proper use of hand tools and power tools.
- Identify and report assembly issues to supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area.
- Coordinate with design, production, and quality teams during assembly activities.
- Follow company safety procedures and quality standards.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly and fitting.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of hand tools, measuring instruments, and assembly techniques.
- Good problem-solving and learning attitude.
- Basic understanding of mechanical components and machine parts.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in machine assembly, fabrication, or maintenance.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems and industrial automation components.
- Exposure to SPM manufacturing or industrial machinery assembly.
