Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage end-to-end interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling clients, coordinating with design and execution teams, managing project timelines, procurement planning, contractor management, billing, and ensuring projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality standards and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Take complete ownership of interior projects from planning to final handover.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and ensure smooth communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review BOQs, project scope, payment terms, and contractual documentation for accuracy.
- Prepare project execution schedules, procurement plans, and material delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with the purchase team to ensure timely procurement at competitive pricing.
- Manage project schedules in coordination with design, procurement, execution, and client teams.
- Appoint, negotiate, and manage contractors, including work orders, commercial terms, payment schedules, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure all contractor work orders and project data are updated in the project management system.
- Coordinate with the design team to obtain drawings and technical deliverables as per project timelines.
- Organize client and internal project meetings and ensure Minutes of Meeting (MOM) are documented and shared.
- Track project changes, variation orders, additional work requests, and obtain client approvals for additional cost and timeline extensions.
- Monitor project progress, identify delays, and proactively resolve issues with clients, consultants, designers, and contractors.
- Conduct regular project review meetings with management and present project status, risks, and action plans.
- Ensure timely weekly billing, project invoicing, and payment follow-ups in coordination with the accounts team.
- Monitor procurement planning to optimize ordering and inventory management.
- Anticipate project risks and develop proactive execution plans to avoid delays.
- Drive project profitability while maintaining quality, client satisfaction, and ethical business practices.
- Ensure prompt responses to project-related emails, calls, and communication channels.
- Coordinate timely client payments as per agreed milestones and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Ensure successful project completion and handover within committed timelines.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Interior Fit-Out or Turnkey Projects.
- Excellent project planning and execution skills.
- Strong client handling and stakeholder management abilities.
- Knowledge of BOQ preparation, project costing, procurement, and billing.
- Experience in contractor management and vendor coordination.
- Strong negotiation and commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project (preferred), AutoCAD (preferred), and project management software.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience managing commercial or residential interior fit-out projects.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines while ensuring project quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
