Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Integration Lead with 5–10 years of overall experience and at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Guidewire integration development and implementation.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and leading integrations between Guidewire applications and IG Apps/external applications, ensuring reliable data exchange, scalability, security, and performance. Strong hands-on knowledge of Guidewire ACE (Application Configuration Environment) and Guidewire integration architecture is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Guidewire integrations with IG Apps and external applications.
- Design scalable and robust integration architecture using Guidewire integration capabilities.
- Work extensively with Guidewire ACE for application configuration and integration-related development.
- Develop and maintain integrations using APIs, web services, messaging, and other integration mechanisms.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into integration solutions.
- Configure and develop Guidewire interfaces, services, plugins, and integration components.
- Integrate Guidewire applications with third-party systems and enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot integration issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
- Ensure integrations meet performance, security, reliability, and scalability requirements.
- Lead technical discussions with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and external application teams.
- Review integration designs, technical specifications, and code developed by team members.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the integration team.
- Support SIT, UAT, production deployment, and post-production troubleshooting.
- Prepare technical documentation, integration specifications, and support documents.
- Follow Guidewire and enterprise development standards, coding standards, and best practices.
Required Technical SkillsGuidewire
- Strong hands-on experience in Guidewire integration.
- Expertise in Guidewire ACE.
- Good understanding of Guidewire application architecture and integration patterns.
- Experience working with Guidewire applications such as PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and/or BillingCenter is preferred.
- Experience with Guidewire configuration, plugins, services, and integration components.
Integration
- Strong experience integrating Guidewire with IG Apps and external/third-party applications.
- REST/SOAP Web Services and API integration.
- JSON/XML-based data exchange.
- Experience with messaging/event-based integration is preferred.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, authentication, error handling, logging, and monitoring.
- Experience troubleshooting end-to-end integration failures.
Development
- Strong programming/development fundamentals.
- Experience with Java/J2EE or relevant technologies used within the Guidewire ecosystem.
- Good understanding of SQL and database concepts.
- Experience with Git or other source-control tools.
- Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices is preferred.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead for Guidewire integration activities.
- Provide technical estimates and participate in solution design.
- Review code and integration architecture.
- Coordinate with offshore/onshore teams and dependent application teams.
- Identify technical risks and provide mitigation strategies.
- Ensure timely delivery of integration components.
- Guide the team on Guidewire integration best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of overall IT experience.
- 5+ years of relevant Guidewire Integration experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire ACE.
- Proven experience integrating Guidewire with IG Apps/external applications.
- Strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Guidewire certification is an advantage.
- Experience in Insurance domain, particularly P&C Insurance, is preferred.
- Experience with PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Exposure to cloud-based integration and modern API platforms.
