Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our Accounts & Finance team. The candidate will be responsible for basic accounting tasks and maintaining proper documentation. This role is ideal for candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform voucher entry and data entry in accounting software accurately and on a timely basis
Maintain and update financial records and spreadsheets
Conduct Hummali (loading/unloading charges) checking in Excel and ensure correctness of entries
Perform Freight bill verification in Excel and reconcile discrepancies
Assist in invoice processing and validation
Maintain proper documentation and filing (physical and digital records)
Cross-check entries with supporting documents like bills, GRNs, and invoices
Coordinate with internal teams for missing or incorrect data
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Additional Responsibilities
Help in monthly closing activities
Prepare basic reports and summaries in Excel
Assist senior accountants with audits and financial reviews
Monitor pending entries and follow up for completion
Required Skills & Qualifications
Basic knowledge of accounting principles
Proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, data sorting, filtering, basic functions)
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally, Busy or similar) is a plus
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle repetitive tasks efficiently
Educational Qualification
B.Com / M.Com / equivalent
Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience can apply
