Job Purpose
The Electrical Fitter will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems, machines and production equipment in the match manufacturing plant, ensuring safe and uninterrupted production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance
- Carry out routine and preventive electrical maintenance of production machinery and equipment.
- Attend electrical breakdowns and restore machines with minimum downtime.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, starters, contactors, relays, sensors, switches and control panels.
- Inspect and maintain electrical wiring, cables, DBs, panels and distribution systems.
- Check and maintain motors, pumps, conveyors and other electrically operated equipment.
- Assist in installation, modification and commissioning of electrical equipment.
- Identify recurring electrical problems and recommend corrective actions.
Production Support
- Provide immediate electrical maintenance support to the match manufacturing production lines.
- Coordinate with Production Supervisors during machine breakdowns.
- Ensure machines are electrically safe before restarting operations.
- Support maintenance activities during all three shifts.
- Minimize electrical-related production downtime.
Preventive Maintenance
- Follow the preventive maintenance schedule for electrical equipment.
- Conduct regular inspection of motors, panels, cables, connections and control systems.
- Check abnormal heating, noise, vibration and loose electrical connections.
- Maintain proper maintenance records and breakdown reports.
- Ensure availability and proper usage of electrical spare parts and tools.
Safety & Compliance
- Strictly follow electrical safety procedures and factory safety rules.
- Use appropriate PPE while performing electrical maintenance.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures wherever applicable.
- Ensure proper earthing and electrical protection systems.
- Immediately report unsafe electrical conditions.
- Maintain good housekeeping around electrical panels and maintenance areas.
- Follow fire-safety procedures, particularly because match manufacturing involves combustible materials and fire hazards.
Candidate Profile
Qualification:
- ITI – Electrical / Electrician / Electrical Fitter
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering will be an advantage.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance.
- Manufacturing / process industry experience preferred.
Experience in match manufacturing or similar continuous production
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
