Project Associate-I
(PAT-I) – 01 No.
(a) Rs.31,000/- + HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship OR GATE OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions.
(b) Rs.25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (a) above.
M.Sc. in Chemistry/Chemical Science from recognized university.
Job Description: The selected candidate will work on electrochemical energy devices, focusing on electrolyzers and fuel cells. Responsibilities include design, fabrication, testing, and performance analysis of materials and systems. The role involves conducting experiments, optimizing efficiency and durability, and contributing to research, documentation, and development of clean energy technologies.

(A) House Rent Allowance or HRA payable shall be admissible as per the extant Government of India rules as applicable to CSIR employees.
(B) The decision of Director, CSIR-CSMCRI in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, conduct of interview, cancellation of advertisement etc. will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection from any individual or person or agency.
(C) Age relaxation for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Women categories shall be as per Government of India/CSIR instructions issued from time to time.
(D) The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Engagement of project staff in different projects, at either CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar or any other CSIR Laboratory/Institute, taken together, shall not exceed 06 years in any case. The engagement shall not confer any right or claim, implicit or explicit, for regular appointment, continuation, extension, or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.
(E) Applications form with complete in all respect must be sent to [email protected] on or before 11th August 2026.
(F) No TA/DA will be provided to candidates for attending the interview.
(G) In the absence of Degree Certificate, Provisional degree certificates along with the mark sheets pertaining to the degree will be considered at the time of Interview. However, in this case, request letter/email to university for providing degree certificate may be enclosed and degree certificate should be produced immediately after it is received from the University/Institute.
(H) The shortlisted candidates will be notified through the Institute website and will be called for interview in due course.
(I) Final Semester/Year students awaiting results are not eligible for consideration.
(J) In case a large number of candidates turn up, the candidates will be shortlisted for interview as per criteria fixed by the Selection Committee. The final decision to allow a candidate to appear for an interview rests with the Director, CSIR – CSMCRI.
(K) In case of Universities/Institutes awarding CGPA/SGPA/OGPA Grades etc., candidates are requested to convert the same into percentage based on the formula as per their University/Institute and attached conversion formula documents accordingly.
(L) If it is found at any stage of the process or thereafter that the candidate does not fulfil the eligibility criteria their candidature shall be cancelled without assigning any reason whatsoever.
(M) Candidates selected after the personal interview conducted by the Selection Committee must produce their original documents for verification and submit self-attested photocopies of the same at the time of joining. Any discrepancy in the documents submitted or furnishing of false information shall lead to rejection of the candidature.
(N) Candidates are advised to check the official CSMCRI website https://www.csmcri.res.in/jobs/temp regularly for addendum/corrigendum as any further updated information regarding this will be posted on Institute website only. Therefore, candidates are advised to keep visiting regularly the website of CSIR-CSMCRI.
Important Instructions for Application
1. Candidates must fill up the application form carefully and correctly as per the prescribed template available on the institute website along with the advertisement. Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before submitting their application.
2. Candidates should not fill anything in the space provided for “Form Number,” as it is meant for official use only.
3. The application form must be submitted with a recent passport-size photograph affixed in the prescribed format. The format should not be altered.
4. Candidates must clearly specify their age in years, months, and days.
5. Candidates applying for the above-mentioned post must submit application form covering educational qualifications, including proof of age/date of birth, consolidated mark sheets/certificates of 10th, 12th, Undergraduate Degree (all semester mark sheets and degree certificate), Postgraduate Degree (all semester mark sheets and degree certificate), Percentage conversion formula, National-level examination certificates/scorecards, Experience certificates, publications, conferences, workshops, seminars, awards, achievements, special skills etc., and any other relevant information.
6. Experience certificates must clearly indicate the total duration of experience, place of work, and position held. Contractual work experience will not be considered as part of experience.
7. Details regarding the interview (online/offline mode) and interview date shall be communicated to shortlisted candidates through email only.
8. The application form must be signed; applications without signature will be rejected.
