Position: Production Microbiologist Trainee
About the Role
NeuGen Biologicals is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Production Microbiologist to support the manufacturing of agriculture bio-input products and mycorrhizae-based biofertilizers. The candidate will be responsible for handling microbial production activities, maintaining quality standards, and supporting large-scale biological production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain microbial cultures used in production.
- Support production of mycorrhizae biofertilizers and other agricultural bioinput products.
- Monitor fermentation, inoculation, incubation, and downstream processing activities.
- Maintain aseptic and contamination-free production conditions.
- Perform routine microbiological testing and process monitoring.
- Record batch production data, laboratory observations, and production logs.
- Assist in media preparation, sterilization, and culture maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with Quality Control and R&D teams for process improvements.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of production and laboratory equipment.
Qualification
- B.Sc or M.Sc in:
- Microbiology
- Biology
- Botany
- Zoology
- Life Sciences or related disciplines
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of microbiology and biofertilizer production.
- Knowledge of sterile handling and laboratory techniques.
- Good documentation and observation skills.
- Ability to work in a production and manufacturing environment.
- Team-oriented with willingness to learn industrial microbiology processes.
Experience
- Freshers and candidates with experience in biofertilizer or microbial production are welcome to apply.
Preferred Attributes
- Interest in sustainable agriculture and biological solutions.
- Understanding of mycorrhizae and beneficial microorganisms is an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and process discipline.
