We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to oversee daily textile manufacturing operations and ensure production targets are achieved efficiently while maintaining quality standards, safety compliance, and cost control. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills and hands-on experience in managing manpower, machinery, production planning, and process optimization within a textile manufacturing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities to achieve production targets.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and resources.
- Monitor production schedules and coordinate with relevant departments to meet delivery timelines.
- Minimize production downtime and improve overall operational efficiency.
Quality Control
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications throughout the production process.
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects and wastage.
Process Improvement
- Analyze production processes and recommend improvements for enhanced productivity and efficiency.
- Monitor production KPIs and implement measures to achieve continuous improvement.
- Drive initiatives to reduce material wastage and operational costs.
Team Management
- Lead, train, and supervise production operators, supervisors, and support staff.
- Allocate work effectively and monitor employee performance.
- Foster a disciplined and productive work environment.
Machine & Maintenance Coordination
- Coordinate with the maintenance department to ensure machinery is functioning efficiently.
- Monitor machine performance and report maintenance requirements promptly.
- Support preventive maintenance programs to reduce breakdowns.
Inventory & Material Management
- Coordinate with stores and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and consumables.
- Monitor material consumption and maintain production records.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to minimize losses.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to workplace safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain compliance with statutory, environmental, and operational requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and awareness programs.
Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Monitor productivity, efficiency, wastage, downtime, and quality metrics.
- Report production performance and improvement initiatives to management.
