Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain APIs using Apigee (Edge / X/Hybrid)
- Implement API proxies, policies, shared flows, and API products
- Handle API security including OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, and role‑based access
- Implement traffic management policies (Spike Arrest, Quotas, Rate Limiting)
- Integrate RESTful APIs with backend services and third‑party systems
- Troubleshoot API issues using Apigee Analytics, Trace, and Logs
- Ensure API versioning, documentation, and lifecycle management best practices
- Collaborate with frontend, backend, and DevOps teams
- Support CI/CD pipelines for API deployments
- Ensure performance optimization, monitoring, and scalability
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in API development and integration
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Apigee (Edge/X)
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and status codes
- Experience with API security (OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSL, API Keys)
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Java, or Node.js for Apigee policies
- Experience with JSON, XML, XSLT
- Hands‑on experience with API proxies, Policies, Shared Flows
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, GitHub/GitLab)
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
