We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Production Merchandiser to manage end-to-end production coordination for our bespoke couture orders. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of garment production, embroidery processes, artisan coordination, timelines, and quality control within the Indian ethnic wear/fashion industry.
This role requires daily coordination with karigars, masters, embroiderers, job workers, vendors, clients, and the in-house team to ensure timely delivery and flawless execution of custom orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle complete production merchandising for bespoke and made-to-order garments
- Coordinate with karigars, masters, embroiderers, tailors, finishing teams, and external job workers
- Monitor production timelines and ensure on-time delivery of all orders
- Follow up on cutting, stitching, embroidery, dyeing, finishing, and dispatch stages
- Maintain high standards of quality control and finishing throughout production
- Manage sampling, fittings, alterations, and final garment approvals
- Coordinate with clients regarding measurements, trial schedules, delivery timelines, and order updates
- Plan workflow and allocate work efficiently across production teams
- Source and coordinate fabrics, trims, embroideries, and production materials when required
- Maintain production records, order sheets, and tracking reports
- Troubleshoot production delays and resolve coordination issues proactively
- Work closely with the design team to ensure execution matches design intent and brand standards
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in production merchandising or production coordination in women’s ethnic wear, bridal couture, or designer fashion
- Strong understanding of Indian garment production and embroidery techniques
- Experience handling karigar units and external job workers
- Good knowledge of fabrics, embellishments, finishing, and garment construction
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple bespoke orders simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with strong quality control focus
- Proficiency in Excel, WhatsApp coordination, and production tracking
- Ability to work in a fast-paced couture environment
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Prior experience in a luxury/designer fashion label
- Strong vendor and artisan management skills
- Ability to independently manage production follow-ups and deadlines
- Passion for fashion, craftsmanship, and couture production
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
