- Texture Creation: Paint and generate high-resolution color, roughness, bump, and specular maps to give surfaces texture and realism.
- Material Development: Build physically based rendering (PBR) materials, both procedural and from real-world photo references.
- UV Mapping: Unfold 3D models to create flat, 2D coordinate maps for smooth texture application without distortion.
- Texture Baking: Copy lighting, shading, and texture details from high-poly models onto low-poly versions for performance optimization.

Required Skills & Software
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of industry-standard tools like Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Mari, and Photoshop.
- Artistic Eye: Strong understanding of form, color theory, lighting, and how different materials react to light (PBR workflows).
- Attention to Detail: Ability to add surface weathering, decay, scratches, and micro-details that ground 3D models in reality.
