We are setting up a state-of-the-art online heat treatment furnace and are looking for an experienced Heat Treatment Operator to join our team.
About the Role
As a Heat Treatment Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for running and monitoring furnace operations to ensure consistent quality and smooth production. You’ll handle furnace parameters, perform quality checks, and work closely with supervisors and the maintenance team to achieve production goals safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor online/automated heat treatment furnaces.
- Control and record furnace parameters such as temperature, cycle time, and quenching.
- Ensure that all treated parts meet required metallurgical and quality standards.
- Conduct routine hardness and visual inspections of components.
- Maintain process logs, production records, and safety documentation.
- Support the preventive maintenance of furnaces and related equipment.
- Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in heat treatment (preferably in fasteners or precision components).
- Working knowledge of continuous or PLC-controlled furnaces.
- Understanding of quenching, tempering, annealing, and hardening processes.
- Basic experience with hardness testing and reading technical drawings.
Preferred
- Experience with SCADA/PLC-controlled systems.
- Familiarity with ISO/TS or IATF quality systems.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Kaizen practices.
