A. Driver Management
- Maintain complete records of all drivers, including personal details, contact numbers, address, experience, and emergency contacts.
- Verify and maintain valid Driving Licence, ID proof, medical/fitness records, and other required documents.
- Monitor driver attendance, availability, leave, and deployment.
- Allocate drivers to trucks and routes as per operational requirements.
- Ensure proper driver handover and takeover of vehicles.
- Monitor driver performance, discipline, punctuality, and behaviour.
- Maintain records of driver warnings, incidents, complaints, and performance.
B. Trip & Route Coordination
- Coordinate with drivers regarding trip schedules, pickup and delivery locations, routes, and reporting times.
- Ensure drivers receive proper trip instructions and customer requirements.
- Track trip progress and maintain regular communication with drivers.
- Follow up on delays, breakdowns, route deviations, accidents, and other operational issues.
- Coordinate with the Operations/Fleet team for immediate resolution of driver-related issues.
- Ensure timely reporting at loading and unloading points.
C. Driver Safety & Compliance
- Ensure drivers follow company safety policies and traffic regulations.
- Monitor compliance with speed limits, driving hours, rest periods, and safe-driving practices.
- Conduct regular driver briefings regarding road safety and company policies.
- Ensure drivers carry all required vehicle and trip documents.
- Report accidents, violations, unsafe driving, or driver misconduct to management immediately.
D. Vehicle & Driver Coordination
- Ensure drivers conduct basic vehicle checks before starting each trip.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance/Fleet team regarding vehicle defects reported by drivers.
- Ensure drivers report issues related to tyres, brakes, lights, engine, battery, GPS, etc.
- Monitor proper use and care of company vehicles.
- Ensure vehicles are handed over with proper documents, fuel, tools, and accessories.
E. Driver Attendance & Payroll Support
- Maintain daily driver attendance and duty records.
- Record overtime, night duties, extra trips, leave, absence, and replacements.
- Provide verified driver attendance and trip information to HR/Accounts for salary processing.
- Coordinate regarding driver advances, trip expenses, and approved allowances.
- Verify driver-related trip expenses and supporting documents.
F. Documentation & Records
- Maintain driver master records and individual driver files.
- Maintain records of Driving Licence validity and renewal dates.
- Maintain driver trip sheets, attendance records, handover/takeover forms, and incident reports.
- Maintain records of challans, accidents, penalties, complaints, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure all driver records are updated and properly filed.
G. Communication & Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact between drivers and the Operations Department.
- Coordinate with Fleet, Maintenance, Accounts, HR, and Customer Service teams.
- Communicate operational instructions clearly to drivers.
- Escalate critical issues to the Operations Manager/Head of Operations without delay.
- Maintain professional relationships with drivers and resolve routine issues effectively.
3. Daily Activities
- Check driver attendance and availability.
- Confirm driver and truck allocation.
- Monitor ongoing trips.
- Follow up on loading, transit, and unloading status.
- Record delays, breakdowns, accidents, and route deviations.
- Coordinate driver replacements where required.
- Verify trip sheets and driver documents.
- Update daily driver and trip reports.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
