Instrument Engineer / Instrument Site In-Charge
Experience Required:
- Experience in Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) Projects
- Experience working on BHEL thermal power plant projects
- Knowledge of power plant instrumentation, commissioning, and maintenance activities
Key Responsibilities1. Project Execution & Site Management
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation systems at site.
- Coordinate with client, consultant, and subcontractors for smooth project execution.
- Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Monitor daily site activities and manpower deployment.
2. Instrument Installation
- Supervise installation of:
- Pressure, Temperature, Flow, and Level Instruments
- Control Valves and On-Off Valves
- Analyzers and Gas Monitoring Systems
- Junction Boxes, Marshalling Panels, and Control Panels
- Cable trays, conduits, and instrument cabling
- Verify instrument calibration and installation standards.
3. Commissioning Activities
- Perform loop checking and functional testing.
- Coordinate DCS/PLC integration and commissioning activities.
- Conduct SAT (Site Acceptance Test) and troubleshooting.
- Ensure smooth startup and handover of systems.
4. FGD System Experience
- Experience with:
- Limestone Handling System
- Slurry Preparation System
- Absorber/Reactor Instrumentation
- Gypsum Dewatering System
- Process Analyzers and Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS)
- Understanding of environmental compliance requirements.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Review P&IDs, Hook-up Drawings, Cable Schedules, and Loop Diagrams.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Maintain calibration records, test reports, and commissioning documents.
- Prepare punch lists and closure reports.
6. Safety & Quality
- Ensure compliance with site safety procedures and permit systems.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Implement quality standards as per project requirements.
- Ensure adherence to BHEL and client quality norms.
- Lead instrument technicians and supervisors.
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and civil teams.
- Attend client and project review meetings.
- Resolve site issues and technical queries promptly.

Preferred Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation.
- 5–15 years of experience in FGD, Thermal Power Plant, or BHEL Projects.
Pay: ₹13,059.91 - ₹47,073.97 per month
