Position Summary
The Paravet will support veterinary services by assisting veterinarians in animal rescue, treatment, surgery preparation, post-operative care, vaccination drives, and community animal welfare initiatives. The role requires hands-on animal handling skills, compassion, and a commitment to animal welfare standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during field vaccination drives.
- Handle and restrain dogs and cats safely during vaccination and treatment.
- Support Anti-Rabies Vaccination (ARV) and other immunization programs.
- Maintain vaccination records and field reports.
- Assist in rescue and emergency animal care activities when required.
- Coordinate with local communities and animal feeders during field visits.
- Ensure hygiene, safety, and proper handling of medical supplies and equipment.
- Travel across assigned field locations in Mumbai for vaccination activities.
Qualifications
- Veterinary Assistant Course / Diploma in Veterinary Science / Paravet certification preferred.
- Candidates with relevant animal handling experience may also apply.
Experience Required
- Experience handling small animals, especially dogs and cats.
- Knowledge of animal vaccination procedures and basic animal healthcare.
- Experience in fieldwork, rescue, or NGO animal welfare activities preferred.
Skills Required
