We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Lead generation Specialist/Online Bidder (Upwork) to join our business development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying relevant opportunities on Upwork, crafting compelling proposals, engaging with prospective clients, and converting leads into long-term business relationships.
This role is suitable for professionals with Junior to Senior experience who have a strong understanding of IT services, digital solutions, client communication, and online freelancing platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and bid on relevant projects on Upwork that align with the company's service offerings.
- Write customized, persuasive, and high-converting proposals.
- Analyze client requirements and prepare tailored solutions.
- Communicate with prospective clients to understand project scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Negotiate pricing, timelines, and contract terms while maintaining profitability.
- Coordinate with technical and delivery teams to ensure accurate project estimations.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships for repeat business.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently achieve bidding and conversion targets.
- Track proposal performance, win rates, and client feedback to improve bidding strategies.
- Stay updated on Upwork algorithms, marketplace trends, and competitor activities.
- Ensure timely follow-ups with leads and maintain CRM or internal sales records.
- Collaborate with marketing and leadership team to improve lead generation strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field (preferred).
- 1+ years of experience in online bidding, business development, or Upwork lead generation.
- Proven success in winning projects through Upwork.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong proposal writing and client engagement skills.
- Good understanding of software development, web development, mobile applications, UI/UX & Graphic Designing, AI, or digital services.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities.
- Experience working with CRM tools and sales tracking systems is an advantage.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve revenue targets.
- Experience handling enterprise and international clients.
