Demand Planner- SKF Automotive Business
The Demand Planner is responsible for developing a reliable demand forecast that serves as the basis for production and inventory planning. This role collaborates closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Supply Planning to ensure accurate demand signals for automotive bearings and related components.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop short- and long-term demand forecasts using statistical tools, sales input, and market intelligence.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to incorporate promotions, new product launches, and customer-specific forecasts.
- Maintain and improve forecasting models in alignment with S&OP processes.
- Analyze forecast accuracy and identify root causes for deviation; lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive demand consensus meetings and prepare inputs for the S&OP process.
- Monitor key demand planning KPIs (Forecast Accuracy, Bias, Demand Variance).
- Support inventory optimization by aligning forecasts with safety stock policies.
- Coordinate with supply planners to manage supply-demand balance.
- Provide inputs for capacity planning and financial forecasting.
Requirements:
- MBA, Supply Chain/Operations, Business, or related field.
- 5- 9 years of experience in demand planning, preferably in automotive or manufacturing.
- Strong analytical skills; proficiency in Excel, statistical forecasting tools, or ERP/APO/Demantra/Oracle.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in S&OP and cross-functional collaboration.
