ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Creative Lead who thrives at the intersection of hands-on design execution and creative direction. You will be an active individual contributor — designing, ideating, and producing — while also guiding our graphic designer and video editor to deliver cohesive, high-impact creative work across all brand touchpoints.
This role is tailor-made for someone who has a strong instinct for colour, composition, and storytelling, brings real-world ecommerce experience, and is genuinely excited about what AI-powered tools can do for creative workflows.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative Execution (Individual Contribution)
- Independently design visual assets — social creatives, banners, emailers, product pages, ads — that are conversion-focused and on-brand.
- Develop and maintain a consistent visual language rooted in strong colour theory and design principles.
- Take ownership of end-to-end creative briefs, from concept to final delivery.
Team Direction & Collaboration
- Guide and review work from the Graphic Designer and Video Editor, ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with creative strategy.
- Translate marketing objectives into clear, actionable creative briefs for the team.
- Set the creative bar through your own work and actively mentor team members.
Shoots, Photography & Post-Production
- Participate in product and campaign shoots — contributing to art direction, styling, and on-set decisions.
- Handle photo editing, retouching, and colour grading to achieve polished final outputs.
- Collaborate with photographers and videographers as needed to bring creative vision to life.
Tools, Innovation & AI
- Stay current with industry tools and actively learn new ones as the landscape evolves.
- Explore and integrate AI-powered creative tools (image generation, automation, workflow optimisation) to improve team efficiency.
- Help set up and document scalable creative processes and automation for repeatable production tasks.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Have
- 4–7 years of design experience with a strong, diverse portfolio.
- Proven hands-on proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and Figma.
- Excellent sense of colour, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience in ecommerce creative — product listings, performance creatives, D2C brand work.
- Ability to both do the work and direct others effectively — comfortable switching between maker and lead.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate across marketing, product, and brand teams.
Good to Have
- Hands-on experience with on-location shoots and product photography direction.
- Familiarity with colour grading and photo retouching workflows.
- Exposure to AI tools such as Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Runway, or similar.
- Interest in setting up creative automation and templatisation pipelines.
- Video editing or motion design experience is a plus.
