Position
We are seeking an experienced Purchase & Supply Chain Executive to manage procurement activities for engineering components, defence spares, imported equipment, electronics, wire harness materials and fabrication requirements.
Candidates with experience in defence, automotive, heavy engineering, industrial equipment, manufacturing or MRO procurement environments will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic components.
- Floating RFQs, obtaining quotations and preparing comparative statements.
- Vendor identification, qualification and development.
- Negotiation of pricing, delivery schedules and commercial terms.
- Preparation and release of Purchase Orders.
- Follow-up with suppliers for production, dispatch and delivery.
- Coordination with stores, projects and accounts teams.
- Inventory planning and procurement planning.
- Managing urgent project-based procurement requirements.
- Handling procurement documentation, GST-related purchase records and supplier compliance.
- Working on ERP systems and procurement software (Zoho preferred).
Foreign Procurement Responsibilities
- Sourcing and procurement from international suppliers.
- Coordination with overseas vendors and manufacturers.
- Follow-up on quotations, proforma invoices and shipment schedules.
- Coordination with freight forwarders, customs brokers and logistics partners.
- Understanding of import documentation including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, COO, IEC-related requirements and shipment tracking.
- Managing communication with suppliers in China, Europe, Singapore and other international markets.
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate / Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial or related field).
- 3–8 years of procurement experience.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Excellent command of MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Knowledge of engineering drawings and technical specifications will be an added advantage.
