Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and creative Western Dance Teacher with expertise in Hip-Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Freestyle, and Modern Dance. The ideal candidate will conduct engaging dance classes, choreograph performances, and prepare students for school events and competitions while fostering creativity, confidence, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Western dance lessons for students from Primary to Senior Secondary.
- Teach dance techniques, rhythm, coordination, flexibility, and stage presence.
- Choreograph performances for Annual Day, Sports Day, cultural events, assemblies, and competitions.
- Conduct warm-up, stretching, and cool-down sessions to ensure student safety.
- Develop students' creativity, confidence, teamwork, and performance skills.
- Prepare lesson plans and maintain student progress records.
- Identify and nurture talented students for inter-school and state-level competitions.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Coordinate with school leadership and event committees for rehearsals and performances.
- Ensure the dance studio and equipment are maintained properly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Performing Arts, Dance, or any relevant discipline.
- Diploma/Certification in Western Dance from a recognized institute is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school or dance academy.
- Freshers with exceptional dance skills and stage experience may also apply.
Required Skills
- Expertise in Hip-Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Freestyle, and Fusion dance styles.
- Strong choreography and stage performance skills.
- Excellent communication and classroom management abilities.
- Passion for teaching and mentoring children.
- Ability to organize performances and manage rehearsals effectively.
- Basic knowledge of music editing and performance planning is an advantage.
Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
