Job Title: Drone Pilot / UAV Operator
Role Overview
The Drone Pilot is responsible for safely preparing, operating, and maintaining Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to conduct aerial missions. This role involves mission planning, data collection, and executing precise flight operations in compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Flight Operations: Safely operate drone systems for specific mission profiles, including mapping, surveying, photography, or precision agricultural spraying.
- Pre-Flight Planning: Conduct pre-flight checklists, assess weather conditions, plan flight paths, and ensure airspace clearancies and regulatory compliance before takeoff.
- Data & Payload Management: Manage onboard payloads (cameras, LiDAR, thermal sensors, or liquid tanks) and ensure accurate data collection or precise application during flight.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine equipment maintenance, battery management, firmware updates, and basic field repairs to ensure fleet readiness.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to civil aviation rules, maintain detailed flight logs, and mitigate risks during operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Certification: Valid commercial Drone Pilot License/Certificate issued by the relevant civil aviation authority (e.g., DGCA in India, FAA Part 107 in the US).
- Flight Experience: Proven logging of flight hours operating multirotor or fixed-wing UAVs. Experience with specific mission types (like payload spraying or autonomous mapping) is highly valued.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with flight planning software (e.g., Mission Planner, QGroundControl, DJI Pilot) and GIS/data processing tools.
- Situational Awareness: Strong spatial orientation, quick problem-solving skills under pressure, and keen attention to safety protocols.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to travel frequently, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and handle heavy equipment cases.
Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
