Job Description: Area Sales Manager (ASM)
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven, and strategic Area Sales Manager to oversee sales operations, drive revenue growth, and expand our market presence within an assigned territory. You will be responsible for leading a team of sales executives, managing distributor/retail networks, and executing localized sales strategies to achieve corporate revenue milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Define, implement, and track regional sales plans to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Team Leadership & Performance: Recruit, train, mentor, and monitor the performance of territory sales executives. Conduct regular performance reviews and field-coaching sessions.
- Channel & Distributor Management: Identify, onboard, and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and key retail accounts. Ensure optimal inventory levels and smooth supply chain logistics.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and pricing shifts. Provide actionable data and feedback to senior management to refine product positioning.
- Financial Management: Oversee the assigned area's sales budget, manage credit limits, and ensure timely payment collections from clients and distributors.
- Customer Relationship Management: Resolve high-level customer grievances, handle complex contract negotiations, and ensure exceptional service delivery.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is highly preferred).
- Experience: 4 to 6+ years of proven experience in B2B or B2C sales management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity (experience in FMCG, Consumer Durables, or Retail is an asset).
- Skills: * Strong leadership, team building, and people management capabilities.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales metrics tracker software (CRM/Salesforce) and Microsoft Excel.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the designated territory (50% – 70% field time required).
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
