- Quality Engineer in the NPD department of automotive parts manufacturing is responsible for ensuring new products meet customer and quality requirements before mass production.
- The engineer participates in APQP activities, feasibility studies, and quality planning during product development.
- Prepare and manage PPAP documents such as control plans, PFMEA, dimensional reports, and process flow charts.
- Monitor trial production runs and validate process capability using tools like Cp, Cpk, SPC, and MSA.
- Coordinating with production, design, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality-related issues.
- Perform root cause analysis using tools like 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone diagrams to prevent defects.
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
- Support safe product launch activities and maintain all quality documentation for successful production approval.
