Job Description – Social Development Expert
Position: Social Development Expert
Experience: Minimum 10 Years
Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Social Development, Sociology, Social Sciences, Social Work, or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead social impact assessments and socio-economic studies for urban, infrastructure, industrial, and township development projects.
- Prepare and implement Resettlement & Rehabilitation (R&R) Plans in compliance with applicable government policies and regulations.
- Conduct stakeholder consultations, community engagement programs, and public participation activities.
- Assess project impacts on local communities and recommend mitigation measures.
- Coordinate with government agencies, local bodies, NGOs, and affected communities for project implementation.
- Develop Social Impact Assessment (SIA) reports, livelihood restoration plans, and social management frameworks.
- Monitor and evaluate social safeguard compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support land acquisition processes and rehabilitation planning.
- Prepare project reports, presentations, and documentation related to social development components.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Social Impact Assessment (SIA), R&R policies, and community development practices.
- Experience in infrastructure, urban development, transportation, industrial parks, or township projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Familiarity with national and state-level social safeguard regulations.
- Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and government authorities.
Kannada Speaking preferred
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in infrastructure and urban development projects.
- Proven involvement in preparation and implementation of R&R and livelihood restoration programs.
- Experience working with government departments, development authorities, or consulting firms.
