Job Purpose
To ensure smooth operation, preventive maintenance, and breakdown maintenance of plant
utilities and production equipment, including air compressors, chillers, pumps, conveyors, filling
machines, packing machines, PET blowing machines, and other mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Utility Equipment Maintenance
Air Compressors
Operate and monitor air compressors and air dryers.
Check and record:
o Air pressure
o Oil level
o Temperature
o Condensate drain operation
Identify and rectify air leakages.
Perform routine preventive maintenance of compressors and dryers.
Coordinate with OEM/service providers for major repairs.
Chillers & Cooling Systems
Monitor chiller performance and cooling water systems.
Check:
o Water temperature
o Pump operation
o Cooling efficiency
o Water levels
Carry out preventive maintenance of chillers and associated piping systems.
Troubleshoot cooling-related issues affecting production.
Pumps & Utilities
Maintenance of:
o Transfer pumps
o Water pumps
o Oil pumps
o Cooling water pumps
Alignment, seal replacement, bearing replacement, and lubrication activities.
Production Equipment Maintenance
Maintenance of:
o Filling machines
o Capping machines
o Labeling machines
o Shrink wrapping machines
o Conveyors
o PET blowing machines
o Tin manufacturing equipment (if applicable)
Attend mechanical breakdowns promptly.
Minimize downtime through effective troubleshooting.
Preventive Maintenance
Execute preventive maintenance schedules.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment.
Monitor vibration, noise, temperature, and abnormal machine conditions.
Ensure proper lubrication of rotating equipment.
Maintain critical spare parts inventory.
Fabrication & Workshop Activities
Basic fabrication and fitting work.
Pipe fitting and utility line maintenance.
Equipment installation and commissioning support.
Modification and improvement projects.
Documentation
Maintain:
o Preventive maintenance records
o Breakdown records
o Utility log sheets
o Spare consumption records
o Daily maintenance reports
Safety & Compliance
Follow safe maintenance practices.
Implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Ensure compliance with GMP and housekeeping requirements.
Participate in safety audits and inspections.
