Job Title: FFS Packaging Operator (Form Fill Seal Machine)

Job Summary:
The FFS Machine Operator is responsible for efficient operation of Form Fill Seal (FFS) machines for packing dry fruits in various grammage pouches. The role ensures smooth machine functioning, minimal downtime, quality packaging, and adherence to food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Machine Operation
- Operate and monitor FFS machines for packing different SKU sizes (various grammage pouches).
- Ensure correct machine settings (temperature, sealing, filling accuracy, speed).
- Perform startup and shutdown activities as per SOP.
2. Production & Output
- Achieve daily production targets with optimal machine efficiency.
- Minimize wastage, rejection, and rework during packing.
- Ensure proper pouch formation, sealing integrity, and weight accuracy.
3. Quality Control
- Check pouch quality (seal strength, leakage, alignment, print position).
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards like GMP, GHP, and internal quality norms.
- Coordinate with Quality team for in-process checks.
4. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and cleaning of FFS machines.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues like:
- Improper sealing
- Pouch cutting issues
- Film misalignment
- Weight variation
- Maintain awareness of critical spare parts and ensure timely replacement.
- Reduce machine breakdowns through proactive checks.
5. Spare Parts & Machine Care
- Maintain basic inventory awareness of critical spares (heaters, sensors, cutters, belts, jaws).
- Ensure proper handling and usage of machine components.
- Coordinate with maintenance team for major repairs.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain production logs, downtime records, and rejection reports.
- Record machine parameters and deviations.
- Report abnormalities immediately to supervisor.
7. Hygiene & Safety
- Follow hygiene standards as per food industry requirements.
- Ensure proper cleaning of machine and surrounding area.
- Follow safety protocols while operating machinery.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong hands-on experience in FFS machine operation.
- Good understanding of pouch packaging process.
- Knowledge of machine parts and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to handle different packaging materials (laminated films, etc.).
- Problem-solving skills to reduce downtime and packing defects.
- Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
Educational Qualification:
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Packaging Technology (Preferred)
- Minimum: 10th/12th with relevant experience
Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in FFS machine operation (preferably in FMCG / Food Industry)
Preferred Industry:
- Dry Fruits / FMCG / Food Packaging Industry
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
