Job Summary
Sri Lakshmi Container Concepts Pvt. Ltd. (SLCC) is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented New Product Development (NPD) Executive to join our Product Development team. The candidate will be responsible for managing new packaging development projects from customer enquiry to commercial production, ensuring technical feasibility, quality compliance, and on-time execution.
Experience in monocarton packaging, flexographic or offset printing, carton converting, and pharmaceutical/FMCG packaging will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate complete New Product Development (NPD) activities from enquiry to production.
- Review customer artwork, specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.
- Conduct technical feasibility studies for new products.
- Prepare and maintain product development documentation.
- Generate and manage NPD Numbers, Job IDs, Product Codes, and development records.
- Coordinate with customers regarding technical clarifications.
- Work closely with Sales, Production, QA, Purchase, Planning, and Design teams.
- Develop manufacturing specifications and process flow.
- Prepare product development timelines and monitor project progress.
- Coordinate sample development and customer approvals.
- Follow up on artwork approval, die approval, and proof approval.
- Coordinate with die makers, plate makers, and raw material suppliers.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and material specifications.
- Ensure all product dimensions, tolerances, and printing requirements are achieved.
- Support first production trials and machine setup.
- Monitor trial results and implement improvements.
- Maintain product master data and revision history.
- Handle Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and artwork revisions.
- Prepare Shade Cards, Standard Samples, and Master Samples.
- Maintain complete traceability of development activities.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
- Participate in customer audits and internal audits whenever required.
- Support validation and qualification activities for new products.
- Coordinate pilot batches until commercial approval is obtained.
