The Infrastructure and Operations organization embodies the hub of lifecycle engineering at TJX, delivering, maintaining, and optimizing our technology portfolio at cloud scale. We are a service-oriented team focused on providing extraordinary experiences to thousands of TJX associates, business partners, and application delivery teams across the enterprise.
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineering Manager to lead India-based network engineering capability within Global Network Services. This role will partner with global teams to deliver secure, resilient, scalable, and highly available network services across campus, data center, cloud connectivity, store, distribution center, and corporate network environments.
The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership, enterprise network engineering depth, operational discipline, stakeholder management, and delivery execution. This role will build and develop a high-performing India-based engineering team, drive network modernization, and provide technical leadership across design, implementation, reliability, automation, observability, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement.
Network Strategy & Service Leadership
Drive modernization initiatives across network platforms, including automation, observability, segmentation, cloud connectivity, and service reliability.
Support strategic planning for network services, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, supportable, and aligned to global enterprise standards.
Engineering & Technology Leadership
LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, routing, and switching
Wireless, campus, store, distribution center, and corporate network environments
DNS, DHCP, IPAM, VPN, load balancing, and network services integration
Ensure robust architecture, engineering standards, production readiness, and operational excellence across network services.
Provide technical direction during design reviews, major incidents, complex problem resolution, and platform modernization initiatives.
Promote engineering best practices, automation-first thinking, documentation quality, and reusable standards.
Global Delivery & Execution
Lead delivery of global network initiatives, upgrades, lifecycle activities, buildouts, and operational improvements across multiple geographies.
Partner with architecture, cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, application, product, and operations teams to execute roadmaps and strategic initiatives.
Ensure reliable, scalable, secure, and supportable network operations across regions, platforms, and business-critical locations.
Manage delivery risks, dependencies, timelines, communication, and stakeholder expectations across global and regional teams.
People & Talent Leadership
Oversee workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, hiring support, onboarding, and capability growth.
Provide direct leadership, coaching, feedback, and technical direction across network engineering, operations, vendors, and matrixed global teams.
Encourage continuous learning, engineering excellence, ownership, and accountability within the team.
Financial & Operational Management
Support forecasting, budgeting, cost optimization, service planning, and financial discipline for assigned network services.
Manage vendor and managed service partner performance, escalations, service risks, contracts, and delivery quality.
Ensure effective use of internal resources, external partners, tools, licenses, and services across the network portfolio.
Contribute to operational metrics, service reporting, capacity planning, lifecycle planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Regional Leadership – India
Support HR partnership, performance management, engagement, onboarding, and capability growth for the India-based network team.
We seek creative, customer-focused individuals with strong enterprise network engineering experience, people leadership capability, and a mindset for continuous improvement. This role requires the ability to lead globally distributed teams, drive technical outcomes, influence stakeholders, and improve service reliability across a complex enterprise technology environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
12+ years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure operations, enterprise technology delivery, or related technology functions.
5+ years of people leadership, team leadership, or equivalent experience leading engineers, technical specialists, vendors, or matrixed global teams.
Experience leading network modernization, lifecycle, reliability, automation, or service improvement initiatives.
Required Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of enterprise network design, engineering, troubleshooting, operations, lifecycle management, incident management, problem management, and change management.
Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, wireless, data center networking, VPN, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, load balancing, and network security fundamentals.
Working knowledge of security-centered network practices, including segmentation, access controls, compliance, vulnerability remediation, and resilient design.
Experience with network observability, telemetry, monitoring, performance analysis, capacity planning, and operational reporting.
Ability to assess production readiness, operational risk, resiliency, supportability, and business impact for network services.
Experience in large global retail, supply chain, distribution, or enterprise technology environments.
Familiarity with network automation, infrastructure as code, scripting, telemetry platforms, ITIL practices, or AIOps capabilities.
Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, cloud networking certifications, ITIL, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience managing vendors, managed service partners, contracts, service levels, and operational performance.
Ability to balance strategic planning, engineering depth, delivery execution, and operational discipline.
This role is based in India and requires collaboration with global teams across U.S., Canada, Europe, India, and Australia. The candidate should be comfortable supporting flexible working hours as needed to engage with global stakeholders, participate in critical meetings, support escalations, and ensure seamless delivery across regions.
