Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Technical Implementation & Supervision:
Drawing Interpretation: Reviewing blueprints, layouts, and structural designs to ensure work aligns with technical specifications.
Site Surveying: Plotting lines and establishing exact levels (grading and alignment) on the site.
Quality Control: Checking steel work (reinforcement), formwork, and concrete quality before, during, and after casting.
Process Oversight: Supervising concrete placement, overseeing proper curing techniques, and managing testing operations.
2. Material & Resource Management:
Inventory Tracking: Estimating raw material needs and maintaining real-time logs of materials used vs. available stock.
Procurement & Scheduling: Preparing bar bending schedules (BBS), coordinating with vendors for timely delivery, and managing heavy machinery deployment.
Labor Allocation: Assigning tasks to construction crews, tradespeople, and subcontractors based on daily project milestones.
3. Project Planning & Reporting:
Progress Monitoring: Tracking construction milestones against the master work schedule.
Documentation: Generating daily progress reports (DPRs), recordingcasting logs, and documenting technical queries.
Troubleshooting: Identifying technical or logistical bottlenecks and developing immediate solutions to avoid project delays.
4. Health, Safety & Compliance:
Hazard Mitigation: Inspecting the site for safety hazards and enforcing the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all construction activities strictly adhere to local building codes, structural regulations, and environmental laws.
Site Hygiene: Organizing the site to maintain clear, safe workspaces and emergency access.
