Job Summary:
The Liaisoning Architect is responsible for coordinating and securing all necessary approvals and clearances from local authorities, regulatory bodies, and government agencies for construction projects. This role involves managing the approval process for building permits, zoning regulations, environmental clearances, and other statutory compliances. The Liaisoning Architect works closely with internal teams, including design, legal, and project management, to ensure that all projects comply with local regulations and are approved in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Approvals: Obtain necessary approvals and clearances from local authorities and regulatory bodies, including building permits, zoning approvals, environmental clearances, fire safety certificates, and occupancy permits.
- Coordination with Authorities: Serve as the primary point of contact with government agencies, municipal bodies, urban development authorities, and other regulatory institutions. Ensure compliance with local building codes and legal requirements.
- Documentation and Submission: Prepare, compile, and submit all necessary architectural drawings, project plans, and legal documentation required for approvals. Ensure all submissions are accurate and meet the requirements of regulatory authorities.
- Compliance Management: Monitor the project’s adherence to legal and regulatory guidelines. Keep up-to-date with changes in local regulations, building codes, and zoning laws, and ensure that the company’s projects comply with these changes.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with design, legal, and project management teams to ensure that designs are compliant with regulations and that all necessary approvals are incorporated into the project timelines.
- Follow-up and Status Tracking: Actively follow up with various departments and agencies to track the status of submitted applications. Ensure that any issues or delays in the approval process are promptly addressed.
- Project Representation: Represent the company at meetings with government officials, municipal bodies, and other external stakeholders to discuss and resolve any regulatory issues that may arise.
- Risk Identification: Identify potential risks related to regulatory compliance and work with project teams to mitigate delays and roadblocks in the approval process.
- Legal Liaisoning: Coordinate with legal consultants to resolve any legal matters related to building regulations, land use, or construction approvals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Urban Planning.
- 5+ years of experience in liaisoning or a similar role within the construction or real estate industry.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, zoning laws, environmental regulations, and other statutory requirements related to construction.
- Experience in securing approvals from government and regulatory bodies such as municipal corporations, development authorities, fire departments, and environmental agencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with government officials and external agencies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in working on large-scale residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of legal documentation and land-related regulations.
- Proficiency in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong negotiation skills to expedite approval processes and resolve issues with regulatory bodies.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
