Job Summary:
The incumbent will be responsible for managing end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring timely dispatches, accurate documentation, safe shipment execution, and adherence to compliance requirements. The role includes coordination with transporters, freight forwarders, customs agents, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless domestic and international shipments. The incumbent will track deliveries, resolve shipment and clearance issues, maintain logistics cost discipline, and ensure accurate reporting through ERP and tracking systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Dispatch & Order Fulfilment
- Execute customer order dispatch strictly as per approved orders, timelines, and system authorizations.
- Ensure correct packing, SKU and quantity verification, labeling, e-way bills, and dispatch documentation with QC sign-off.
- Maintain error-free dispatch execution with complete traceability and approvals.
2. Import–Export Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare, verify, and manage export documentation including:
- Commercial invoices
- Packing lists
- Shipping bills
- Transport and freight documents
- Other customs-related documentation
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, CHA, and clearing partners for smooth export and import clearance.
- Ensure adherence to export regulations, documentation accuracy, and shipment timelines.
- Track clearance status and proactively resolve documentation or customs-related issues.
3. Shipment Execution & Tracking
- Schedule and coordinate vehicles and transporters for domestic and export shipments.
- Track shipments proactively and provide timely delivery updates to customers and internal teams.
- Monitor loading and transit handling to minimize damages, delays, and losses.
- Manage transporter coordination to ensure timely shipment movement and delivery.
- Update shipment milestones, PODs, and records regularly in ERP or tracking systems.
4. Delivery, Claims & Issue Resolution
- Handle delivery exceptions, damages, shortages, and shipment-related escalations independently.
- Initiate, document, and follow up on insurance and transporter claims.
- Ensure timely claim closure with corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain proactive communication with customers and internal teams during critical shipment situations.
5. Logistics Cost & Invoice Control
- Verify freight, courier, and transport invoices for accuracy before approval.
- Monitor logistics expenses against approved budgets on a daily and monthly basis.
- Maintain updated logistics rate cards as per vendor agreements.
- Identify and implement logistics cost optimization opportunities.
6. Quotation Management & Reporting
- Provide accurate and timely shipping quotations for proforma invoices.
- Ensure shipping quotations follow approved pricing and authorization processes.
- Respond promptly to logistics-related emails, calls, and coordination requests.
- Submit weekly logistics, dispatch, cost, claims, and performance reports.
Experience & Skills
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in logistics operations and shipment management.
- Tech-savvy with hands-on experience using ERP systems and logistics tracking tools.
- Strong problem-solving ability to manage transit, delivery, and clearance issues.
- Excellent communication skills for vendor, customer, and internal coordination.
- Proven ability to coordinate with transporters and vendors to ensure timely execution.
- Proactive, eager to learn, and growth-oriented mindset.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
