We are seeking a skilled Senior Associate – Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data modeling, with the ability to translate business requirements into meaningful insights and reports.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and scorecards.
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
- Create efficient data models using star and snowflake schemas.
- Develop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
- Build and optimize Power Query (M Language) transformations.
- Connect Power BI to multiple data sources including SQL Server, Azure, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, and cloud platforms.
- Optimize report performance through efficient data modeling and query tuning.
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and data governance best practices.
- Publish, schedule, and manage reports in the Power BI Service.
- Troubleshoot reporting issues and provide production support.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and development teams.
- Document technical designs, report specifications, and deployment procedures.
- Mentor junior developers and promote reporting best practices.
- 4–7 years of experience in Business Intelligence and reporting.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and Data Modeling.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in writing complex queries and stored procedures.
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS).
- Familiarity with Azure data services (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric) is preferred.
- Experience with Git/Azure DevOps for version control is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Microsoft Power BI certification is preferred.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
