About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and execution-focused Accounts & Import Finance Executive who has strong knowledge of accounting finalization, import finance operations, taxation, compliance, and inventory-related accounting. The candidate will be responsible for handling end-to-end accounting activities related to imports, vendor payments, taxation, audit coordination, and statutory compliance.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in import-related accounting processes, customs documentation, GST/TDS compliance, and coordination with auditors and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Operations
* Handle accounting activities up to finalization of books.
* Manage bills booking, journal entries, and ledger reconciliation.
* Process vendor payments and maintain payment tracking.
* Perform 3-way checking mechanism for purchase, GRN, and invoice verification.
* Handle inventory accounting and reconciliation.
* Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
2. Import & Forex Management
* Handle import payment processing and import purchase booking.
* Coordinate forex handling and dollar hedging activities.
* Verify BOE (Bill of Entry) and customs-related documentation.
* Calculate and process custom duty payments.
* Coordinate with CHA, banks, and internal teams for import-related transactions.
3. Taxation & Compliance
* Prepare TDS workings and ensure timely filing of TDS returns.
* Handle GST workings, reconciliations, and GST return filing.
* Generate E-way bills and sales invoices.
* Support SIMS and EPR-related documentation and compliance.
* Maintain compliance with statutory requirements including ROC filings.
4. Payroll & Statutory Activities
* Support payroll working and payroll verification.
* Handle PF and ESIC workings and return filings.
* Coordinate with HR and management for payroll-related reconciliations.
5. Audit & Reporting
* Coordinate with auditors during statutory audits.
* Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation as per Accounting Standards (AS).
* Maintain proper accounting records and compliance documentation.
* Prepare reports and trackers using MS Excel.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
* 6–8 years of relevant experience in Accounts and Import Finance operations.
* Strong knowledge of: GST & TDS compliance; Import accounting and BOE verification; Forex handling and dollar hedging; Payroll checking; PF & ESIC; ROC and statutory compliance; Inventory accounting
* Good understanding of customs duty calculation and import documentation.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
* Good English communication skills (written and verbal).
* Experience in electronics, appliances, or import-based industries will be preferred.
Preferred Candidate Profile
* Experience handling import-related accounting independently.
* Familiarity with compliance processes such as SIMS, EPR, and GST reconciliation.
* Strong attention to detail and follow-up capability.
* Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and external stakeholders efficiently.
Pay: ₹38,000.00 - ₹43,000.00 per month
