Job Summary
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, execution, supervision, and maintenance of all civil construction and infrastructure activities within the manufacturing facility. The role includes project execution, contractor management, quality assurance, cost control, statutory compliance, and preventive maintenance of factory buildings and utilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and supervise all civil construction and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare BOQs, quantity estimations, project schedules, and cost estimates.
- Monitor day-to-day construction activities to ensure timely project completion.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, architects, and vendors.
- Verify contractor bills, work measurements, and material consumption.
- Ensure construction quality as per approved drawings, specifications, and IS standards.
- Monitor preventive and breakdown maintenance of factory buildings, roads, drainage systems, boundary walls, parking areas, and other civil assets.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, EHS, Purchase, and Administration departments for civil work requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental norms, and statutory requirements.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
- Maintain project documentation, drawings, approvals, and completion records.
- Support plant expansion, renovation, office modifications, and infrastructure development projects.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safety at construction sites.
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering with relevant industrial experience may also be considered.
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in industrial construction, factory maintenance, infrastructure projects, or manufacturing plants.
- Experience in industrial project execution and contractor management is preferred.
