Job Title: Wire Cut EDM Programmer
Qualification: ITI/ DME/ Production Engineering or equivalent
No. of Openings: 2
Experience: 0 to 8 Yrs
Location: Coimbatore
Core Roles and Responsibilities:
- Programming & Optimization: Develop CNC programs using Macro Wire, CAD/CAM software (such as Mastercam, Macro Wire or Opticam) to generate precise toolpaths for wire EDM machines.
- Technical Interpretation: Analyze complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD models to determine part dimensions, tolerances, and cutting configurations.
- Setup & Operation: Set up machines, including wire threading, job alignment, and fixture preparation, and monitor the cutting process to ensure accuracy.
- Parameter Adjustment: Determine optimal cutting parameters (speed, power, wire tension) based on material type and thickness to maximize efficiency and surface finish.
- Quality Control & Inspection: Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers) to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machine malfunctions, wire breakages, and cutting errors.
- Maintenance: Conduct regular preventative maintenance on wire EDM equipment to maintain functionality.
- Process Improvement: Develop strategies for efficient slug removal and maximize unmanned (lights-out) machine time.
Salary: Rs.15000/- to Rs.30000/- (Statutory benefits – PF, ESI, Bonus etc)
